De La really took a hold of me on Stakes is High. I loved the earlier work but after that, my all time favorite group!! (w/ Run DMC though! 😂) The Grind Date came out while I was fighting to continue to be in my son life with a very bitter BM. 2005 was the start and ya’ll got me through. Just small line that took me higher than I was capable of feeling at the time. “ He hates driving a bus, but he loves 5 kids!” Spoke to me about what we as fathers go through for our children. I grew up with fathers in my family. My father was the youngest of 14 and every male was married and taking care of their children and every uncle who married one of my aunts was the same way. I don’t know about dysfunctional family life. You all spoke to me and to show my appreciation I was one of the 11,000 that donated to make And The Anonymous Nobody! I was at the LA listening party. It use to be 6 degrees but now I think it’s just 2 degrees of separation. I hit my cousin up and told her I was about to go in but didn’t get her message back til after the listening party. Apparently my cousin Crystal and ya’ll are family. Her message was tell them I said what’s sup! And that I should have let her know sooner! I saw the video of y’all meeting up in Japan. Funny enough, I have yet to see you perform. One concert I was supposed to go to got canceled. All that to say thank you! And if you want any more of my money let me know where to send it!!
